Sycamore class visited a Hindu temple in Wellingborough to learn more about Hinduism.

Sycamore class visited a Hindu temple in Wellingborough to learn more about Hinduism.

The children are currently studying the topic in their RE lessons and were able to find out more about the religion the majority of people in India and Nepal follow.

During their visit the pupils learnt how the religion started and what people do in the temple when they go to worship the gods. They found out that they must enter the temple barefoot and saw the gifts Hindus gave to the gods.

Year 6 pupil Stanley said ‘It was very interesting visiting the temple. The decoration inside was beautiful and we found out the different time throughout that day people pray.’
