Students train to become sports leaders

The Year 6 pupils learnt how to work with the younger children at playtime to organise sports activities. They focused on adapting games for different abilities, creating their own sports games and creating rules for games.’
The Spots Crew will now develop a schedule for break and lunch, where they will each spend half an hour each week organising sports for the younger students to helping them improve their skills in a variety of sports including football, rugby, netball, athletics, skipping and hula hooping.
Mrs Block said: ‘Having the Sports Crew gives our older pupils the opportunity to develop key leadership skills whilst also encouraging the younger children to have fun whilst keeping active.’
Sports Crew member Ellie said: ‘I’m really happy to be part of the Sports Crew. I love sports and like to be a lead activities and teach others.’
