The least active children are given opportunities to take part in a range of physical activities. The lunchtime supervisor is able to plan, implement and monitor exciting games that the children want to play making them more active.

After school could not run due to Covid restrictions. This money will be carried forward to next year.

By using the MUGA, it allows the children extra space to take part in physical activities and the daily exercise in a space and enclosed environment.

Balance bikes are providing the children in EYFS opportunities to be more physically active. The balance bikes are encouraging co-ordination skills and helping children move towards riding a bike which is on the 50 things to do before Y7.

Profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement

Encouraging pupils to take on leadership or volunteer roles that support sport and physical activity within the school.

Embedding physical activity into the school day through active travel to and from school, active break times and active lessons and teaching.

Playmakers training for Year 6 to enable them to run activities for younger children during break times and lunch times.

Bikeability training fully funded for children to be encouraged to travel to school.

Freestyle football workshop booked for whole school to introduce them to a new type of physical activity. (£562)

Tennis Workshop booked to encourage children to take part in sport outside of school. (£170)


Primary HUB training for all lunchtime supervisors. (£750) (Carried over)

Due to covid restrictions, this was unable to take place.

Replenishing equipment allows the children to remain engaged in active play at playtimes and lunchtimes.


Children shown how to use skipping ropes in new ways to encourage them to be more active during break times and lunch times. Children had the opportunity to buy a skipping rope where they can be active outside of school too.

Children were extremely motivated to get involved in this workshop. They learnt new skills which they could practice at break times and lunchtimes.

Tennis workshop gave children the opportunity to learn ball and racket skills which they can use during break times. They are also encouraged to join in with tennis clubs outside of school.


This is being carried to September 2021 due to covid restrictions. This money will contribute towards it.

Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport

Providing staff with professional development, mentoring, training and resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively to all pupils and embed physical activity across your school.

Hiring qualified sports coaches to work alongside teachers to enhance or extend current opportunities.

All teaching staff to have 1:1 training sessions with local School Sports Officer who will model teaching of a particular area of weakness e.g. gymnastics. (£2517)


New P.E. resources ordered to ensure all teachers have the resources needed to teach effective lessons. (£250)

Cover for P.E. coordinator to research, observe/teach lessons, organise competitions and clubs etc. £1350

Payment for BWT P.E. adviser to support in schools once a term. £1500

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this was unable to take place. Our COTSSP package will be moved to 2021-22 with no charge and will be taken off the new package. We are just to pay the difference.


Small equipment replenished to ensure plenty of resources for the lessons.

Time allocated allowed PE co-ordinator to organise workshops, swimming lessons and support staff with PE lessons.

To support and train PE lead in the role. To share lessons plans, risk assessments and lesson ideas, which enhance lesson for children.

Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils

Introducing new sports and physical activities to encourage more pupils to take up sport and physical activities

Partnering with other schools to run sport activities and clubs.

Providing more (or broadening the variety of) extra-curricular activities after school in the 3 to 6pm window, delivered by the school or other local sport organisations.

New/unusual sport/physical activity to be introduced to ALL children each term to encourage more children to take up the activity.

Again, a lot of these were restricted due to being unable to mix bubbles and external trips being restricted.

We were able to do skipping, freestyle football, sailing and Bikeability in the summer and Autumn terms.

Forest school and bikeability but the rest could not take place due to covid.
