At Gretton Primary Academy, we believe in nurturing confident, curious, and compassionate learners who are empowered to believe in themselves, belong to a caring community, and become the very best they can be.

Caring relationships exist between pupils and staff. Pupils know that staff will listen and help them if they have a worry. This helps pupils to feel happy and safe.
Our school motto of “Striving to be better every day” is underpinned by our school values, which are embedded into the way of life at Gretton.
We are kind
We teach children the importance of mutual respect, tolerance and understanding. We emphasise how members of our school community, and the wider community, look after and support each other.
We try our best
We teach children to try their best even when things are difficult, to be resilient and determined to achieve their goals. We encourage children to take pride in their achievements and recognise the effort they put in.
We make good choices
We teach children to recognise, name and understand their feelings and encourage them to develop strategies to regulate their emotions. We teach children to empathise with others and understand the impact of their words and actions on others.
We dream big
We encourage every child to believe in themselves and strive to be the very best that they can be. We ask children to set goals, articulate their ambitions for their futures and help them to understand the hard work that will be needed to be successful.
